Last week saw us returning from a short break up in Kielder, Leaplish is were we stayed on the Caravan Club site.Lots of things have been happening since we were there last year with lots of work on the footpaths along the lake side you will soon be able to walk/bike from Kielder castle/ village all the way along to the other end by the dam wall following the lakeside all the way, ( this work is still in progress ). Carol and I spent quite some time in the bird hide watching and waiting to get a photo of those illusive red sqirrels,they kept us waiting untill the last day tho” see photo section” the artwork in front of the castle is all made from opened out wellington boots.

“Would ya believe it”,looking out the other day at our nut feeder which is very close to our kitchen window and surrounded by a clematis (Montana) we caught this little mouse clinging on to the side of the feeder helping his or her self to the nuts,after watching it over these last few days Carol and I now think that it is living in the clematis in an old birds nest, this must be known as a tree house in the mouse world!.Carol managed to get this photo when it was’nt looking “cute eh”.
